2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data and the Nature and Purpose of their Use

When viewing our web site www.kniprath-lopez.com information is automatically sent by the browser used on your terminal device to the server of our web site. This information is stored temporarily in a so-called logfile. The following information is collected without any action on your part and saved until automatic deletion:

  • IP address of the enquiring computer,
  • date and time of the visit,
  • name and URL of the downloaded file,

3. Distribution of Data

Distribution of personal data to third parties only takes place for the following reasons listed below.
We only give your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have expressly authorized us to do so according to section 6, para 1 page 1 lit.a. GDPR,
  • the distribution is necessary according to section 6, para 1, page 1 lit. f GDPR in order to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and it cannot be assumed that you have an overriding justifiable interest that your data not be disclosed,
  • there is a legal duty to disclose the data according to section 6, para 1 p. 1 lit.c GDPR and
  • this is legally permitted and is necessary for processing the contractual relationship according to section 6, para 1, p.1 lit.b GDPR.


4. Cookies

We use cookies on our web site. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and which are saved on your terminal device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar), whenever you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage, do not contain viruses, trojans or other malicious software.
The cookie contains information that is related to the relevant terminal device used. This does not mean, however, that we therefore immediately have information about your identity.

5. Use of Google Analytics

For the purpose of creating appropriate web pages and continued optimization we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. In this context pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies are used (see item 4). The information generated by the cookie on your use of this web site such as

You have the right:

  • in accordance with section 15 GDPR to request information on personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information on the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients who have or will have received your data, the planned storage period, the existence of the right to correction, deletion, restriction in processing or objection, the existence of the right of appeal, the source of their data, if we did not collect these, and on the existence of an automated decision-making including profiling and possibly meaningful information regarding their details;
  • in accordance with section 16 GDPR to request the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data that we have stored;
  • in accordance with section 17 GDPR to request the deletion of personal data that we have stored unless the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfil a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or in the case of enforcement, exercise or defending legal claims;
  • in accordance with section 18 GDPR to request the restriction of processing of your personal data, where you contest the correctness, the processing is illegal, but you reject the deletion and we no longer need the data but you need these to enforce, exercise or defend legal claims or you have raised an objection against the processing in accordance with section 21 GPDR;
  • in accordance with section 20 GDPR to request receipt of your personal data, that you have provided us with, in a structured, standard and machine-readable format or to have this transferred to another controller;
  • in accordance with section 7, para 3 GDPR to revoke your consent previously given at any time. This means that we are no longer permitted to process in future the data that your consent referred to, and
  • in accordance with section 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Normally, you can refer to the supervisory body in the country of your current usual residence or your place of work or our Attorneys’ office.

7. Right to Object

If your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with section 6, para 1 p.1 lit. f GPDR, you have the right, in accordance with section 21 GPDR to object to the processing of your personal data if there are reasons arising from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case you have a general right to object which we will implement without any further information regarding a particular situation.

8. Data Security

During the web site visit, we use the widely used SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) in connection with the highest level of encryption that is supported by your browser. Normally, 256-bit encryption is used. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we then use the 128-bit v3 technology instead. To recognize whether an individual page of our internet presence is transmitted encrypted, there is a picture of a key or closed padlock in the status bar of your browser.
Incidentally, we take suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against random or willful manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continually being improved pursuant to technological developments.
